Bing_0
good deal ben, one thing you wanna keep in mind, is that those platic arches on the dls grilles are notorious for snapping, i would put a heavier duty grill on them things can i ask why there are four baffles? how many pods you bulding?b
BenW
Laminating 2 pieces of MDF to form QTY:2, 1-1/2 inch blocks. Then the mid and tweet will mount in those. Eliminates the need for glassing.IF these turn out, I'll make another set out of black walnut and make em look a little more refined.Remember too, the mid and tweet are sealed so no enclosure is needed.PS> i think the grill is pretty week too. Not sure what to do about that. Especially since I want them near where a kickpod would go. Any ideas?

BenW
plan is to mount them to the guts side of the lower dash panels. Kinda up and out of the way. There are actually 2 crossoverboxes per side.

Bing_0
cool ben, just one word of caution, the midrange is perhaps the single most important speaker to aim and place when it comes to acheiving a good sound stage and imaging, while it may be most practical to have them out of hte way, but it may not best hte bets souding, it a car like ours with a realtively high dash and deep foot wells, i would think that placing them further in word may diffuse your center imagine, and loewr your sound stage. but hey, tell me what yu find out b

BenW
Well, we'll see what they sound like tonight. Going over to the shop to hook these bad boys up.Part of making them out of MDF is to play around with placement. If they dont sound good low then move them.Idea is to have the stage centered, wide, and high. With NO time alignment. May be hard but Im gonna find out if its even approachable..Will poost pics of prelim placement this evening hopefully.
