mikie
I was driving home tonight and hit a stop sign or some kind of sign that was laying on the road. I couldn't get around it because a car was beside me so I just slammed on the brakes...anyway when I got home I realized that one of my heico front flaps got chipped (not that bad) but the front bumper is crack pretty bad. I don't feel like paying for a new bumper, neither do I want my premium to go up if its considered to be my fault. I was wondering wouldn't this be the fault of the city??? Is it possible that they would pay for the damages???
Adam Franke
Probably not unless the problem was reported before you hit it. That's often the case with pot holes and bent rims. If the city didn't know it was a problem before you hit it, it's not thier fault.
REVolution T5
If u take those flaps off to repair the bumper make sure to go to some body shop and do the cast so they can make a copy and sell it :)
mikie
Well I contacted the city, and was told to file a report with the police and then visit the borough (not sure about the spelling). So maybe there is some hope. I'll ask my body shop about that, but I doubt he'll consider doing it, he mostly deals with insurance companies, and only does a few jobs here and there.
