gmsgltr
I thought the same exact thing. I just couldn't figure out any way to do it properly with the dock connector. I really like the integrated look of it as is where it's fully behind a panel. If there was some way to have a pivoting cock connector or something so you could click the dock connector on then pivot/snap it into place that would be ideal but I just don't see how that would work. I do have an iPhone though that I use for Pandora in the car sometimes though so I've been trying to think of a good way to integrate a mount like that for it. So far I've been trying to figure out a clean way to put an iPhone dock base into the ashtray. Then I could just pop open the ashtray and set the iPhone onto it to connect to the HU and charge as well. We'll see if I ever get to that. WHAT!?!?! haha yeah im going to see if i can do anything with my 850 and iphone... im intrigued...

NM Evan
I'm thinking about doing this with a spare thunderbolt. It'd be awesome since android is much more easy to deal with customization wise. I'm thinking wifi library syncing and such

Piston Slapper
Then I could just pop open the ashtray and set the iPhone onto it to connect to the HU and charge as well. We'll see if I ever get to that. I want that, except for an ipod classic. I was thinking about it the other day and think the easiest way would be to mount a cut down part of a desk dock in the bottom of the tray with some rails to slide it in on.
