(_8*(l)Homer
So, I replaced my BCS with an ACDELCO one. Afterwards, the car ran great, better than it ever has before. Turbo response was great. This was a couple weeks ago, WOT was fine. Now, when I go WOT the car takes off like it should, then it feels like the transmission kinda shifts the wrong way and the RPMs pin at 6k. The car goes from a quick accelerating state to deceleration, where it feels like i am using the brakes. Note: I replaced a hose that goes from the BCM to the clean air pipe with a 1.0 bar one from autozone. Could this be a cause? What about the bov? Is that something that i should look at? Gideon35T
Could be that you're hitting boost cut but maybe all your renewed performance made for a new issue.
WayAway
I dont think m4.4 has a fuel cut like m4.
(_8*(l)Homer
The car definitely does not perform as well as it did when I first added the new BCS a month ago. I could go 0 - 60 in probably 7 seconds and the car SCREAMED on the highway, could go 60 - 100 in about 6 seconds (or so it seemed). Now it really feels like all sorts of wrongness when I get on it. I am going to replace vac hoses and check the intercooler couplings for any leaks as suggested in the maint forum.
(_8*(l)Homer
So, I found my vac leaks. There were 3 of them. Two at the BCS, one on the clean air pipe down at the bottom. I used zip ties to tighten up the hoses, but found that that is actually what caused the leaks. So, 5 hours later my car is running great and has no other vac leaks that I could find :)
s_moneh
I think the strange thing happening at WOT is unaturally aspirated air going into the engine. It would put you in your seat thats for sure
