Mattphi
I posted this in a different section, but I guess it would be better off here. Having some issues with my speakers in the R and I'm wondering if it's the amp. They will cut on and off randomly, and crackle occasionally. Sometimes it's just the fronts, other times it's all 4. Someone told me that it could be the amp in the car. It happens randomly and it's extremly annoying so if anyone might have an idea of what it is...halp?
andyb5
What headunit do you have installed? If its the SC815/816, you can unplug the relay harness for the amplifier, and run the speakers off the internal power from the headunit. If this fixes the problem, your amp and/or amp harness are no good. If it doesn't, try a different stock headunit and see what happens. The factory amps were manufactured by Alpine and are pretty reliable, so I'd personally guess you have a loose connection somewhere......
Aequitas_Veritas
This was happening on my old car whenever I used the volume controls and sometimes otherwise, and it turned out to be my radio (SC-811). I upgraded to an SC-815 and fixed it till I got rid of it for a Carpc.
