I finally have some time and want to get it all back up to snuff. I remember seeing a list somewhere of the items involved in Stage 1 maintance/upgrade, as well as Stage 2 and Stage 3 but can not seem to find it. Can someone point me in the right direction? James A Sousa Posted July 14, 2012 Report Share Posted July 14, 2012 I'll probably attract comments on this - This is not official, just my two cents. Stages above zero represent modifying the engine for performance. Stage I probably represents mods that do not require going into the engine - such as less restrictive exhaust and intake, perhaps upgrades of the fuel and ignition systems. Stages II and III go deeper, like a cam, raising the compression, and valve/ manifold mods. Stage IV would be a full race engine. When your engine properly at stage 0, is in a relatively high state of tune. You would have to spend a ton of money to improve it, or try some things that are ill advised, or will dull its performance. It IS pretty easy to have it make more noise!
