RZT5
OBX I assume? Poor design causing too much stress on the weld... Crappy welds... Welding without filler wire... Hard to know for sure exactly what caused it. Sorry to see though :(
Scania
That is custom performance exhaust, usually you have to pay extra for that ! Not a huge deal, pull it out & weld it up. I'd go over the other welds too.
D s50r
Can't be a weld because it's not welded there and the edges look really jagged looks like sOmeone took a sawzall to your downpipe.. Do you have "beef" with someone? I do have a brand new downpipe if you need a replacement

D s50r
It looks like the cut is angled so a cut from under te car with a cordless sawzall is possible. Do you have a cat on the exhaust? Someone might have been after thatAnd got spooked by something and stopped
survolvo
Have you moved the car since finding this? If not, you can look and see if there are any little metal shavings around that area or the ground to tell if its been cut. Sure looks like it was cut. Aluminum had hard spots in it, so if it cracked and broke, it wouldn't be that straight.

I cannot get a jack underneath without 2x4s. shitty weld fix above^

Dick Dastardly
Cheap stainless from china. My OBX flex joint is leaking I think..I have to get under and see if it's cracked where it's welded to the pipe.

Dick Dastardly
Do you have bad motor mounts? If the engine is rocking too much this will happen. Usually on a weld but these downpipes are really thin..
