Ihatespeedbumps
The engine cranks but does not start? You smell fuel when this occurs?

Ihatespeedbumps
Check engine light on? You may want to crank it to replicate the fuel smell and then a have a look around the engine bay to see if you have any external fuel leaks. If not it would be wise to to pull the injector rail after turning the car off and placing a piece of carboard under it. Any stains on the cardboard will lead you to a leaking fuel injector. There should be absolutely no fuel coming from the injectors with the engine off.
