t8fanning
Most times I back out of my hilly driveway there is a significant drip of water. I checked it out one time and found that it came from above the exhaust heat shielding a little behind or right below the drivers seat area. Any ideas what this is? It's pure water, and my coolant level is normal and non-varying. Any ideas what this is? It may not even be a problem.

burnout8488
Yup. Terrible drain point considering these shields rot out so easily, but it's up there.
t8fanning
Should I do anything about it because it rots the heat shield or just not worry about it?
burnout8488
Not sure if anything can be done, maybe buy a new shield now so you'll have it in a few years if yours ever falls off Mine is only holding on by one or two of the plastic fasteners, not sure how, but it's still hangin in there! '93 Dave
are your rain water drain pipes clogged? i believe theres two of them right above the firewall. near the hood cowl. certain angle could help the water come out? (since your saying pure water, not coolant)

(since your saying pure water, not coolant) I don't think they are clogged, because the leak isn't by the turbo heat shield. It is under the exhaust piping heat shield under the car. The drip is about under the seat behind the driver.
