jschaefer7406
Hello all, Been doing a lot of reading and searching on the Delco TCV. Most threads seem to deal with replacing a tired OEM unit with the Delco though, and nearly all are on M4.4 cars . Have a fairly new OEM valve to use, would have to invest in the Delco to compare. I know, I know...its cheap. Just hate to wait for shipping and such, only to find it's no better than stock (assuming both are new). So, does anyone happen to have a direct side-by-side comparison between a new OEM Pierburg TCV and a Delco unit (preferably on a tuned ME7 car?) Mine is a 2000 S70 LPT, 15G and 15 psi Woth tune... Thanks, Joe
Big Will
Jan doesn't believe in running anything but a stock wastegate unless you are running a huge amount of mods at a very high boost level. I've only used the stock TCV but I would think the tune would have to take into account a different TCV in order to take advantage of it... NEU
My Delco has been running strong for 4 years with zero issues. And I'm ME7 with 18psi tune...
mune237
I'd try the NEW Snabb/ARD TCV. I will when I need a new one. Running OE now NOTE: I can get Delco parts at wholesale prices. What's the PNs? I'll see what I can get them for.

(_8*(l)Homer
I tried both. originally purchased an OEM TCV, then found an ac delco one online for $12 shipped and new (can't beat that). I don't have any dyno results or anything, but I adjusted turbo to 5psi before using the new OEM one. There was a noticable difference between the old sloppy OEM one and the new. Then I tried the new AC Delco one. Wow, what a difference. The AC Delco part seems to be much more responsive than the OEM. I also got slightly better gas mileage (20.1 with OEM and 20.3 with AC Delco). That is probably due to other factors, but I don't know. I'd go with the AC Delco one. jschaefer7406
Thanks for all of the info guys. Currently sorting out a failed ETM, so once that is straightened out maybe I'll play with a different TCV . Joe
