Hate to be a "party pooper", but MisMy850 I thought you said you were looking for a safer car because the wife is expecting a new addition to the family.

R in the V70R = Racing speed performance high risk etc, etc.

If this is going to be the family car, PLEASE just get a plain V70 or the LPT, plenty of power to carry  the family and stuff around.  Remember the baby....

If this is going to be your car, then go for it

the GLT, T5, NAs are no safer than Rs. In fact, I would argue that the R is safer due to the AWD.

was thinking the same thing... awd = better handling/response = safer

a better handling car [like a stock R vs. a stock NA/GLT/T5] is going to offer better overall "protection" due to its performance ablities

even Volvo puts a safe spin on the power of its cars by explaining that you can "safely accelerate" out of danger and avoidable situations

OK - Here are my choices:

All are 98 V70R's

INT/EXT

Black/Black with 77K for $13,995 @ dealer (Volvo)

Black/Beige with 44K for $15,995 @ dealer (Volvo)

Silver/Black with 77K for $12,995 @ used car dealer

Any suggestions? I have carfaxes on all of them and they are clean. Cars have good service history.

Thanks for the help, I wouldn't mind saving a couple grand so I can use it to add some mods, with reliability in mind. Any one have suggestions on what should be done first, provided the belts/pulleys have been changed?

are these prices good?
