I have no lights or messages.. last night I drove home about 15 misses. And parked.. this morning the car would not start tried the reset but it just cranks.. I found a blown fuse for the maf, ecm, and injectors.. I replaced it and it still only cranks.. Please help... Wht should I check other than fuel pressure??? S80T6P_T_M
Ok so the fuse that was blown was for the fuel pressure pump... I can hear the fuel pump come on.. but very little or no pressure.. the fuse for the fuel pressure pump blows everything the key is turned on.. I unplugged the fuel pump and replaced the fuse for the pump.. and it still blows with the fuel pump disconnected.. Any suggestions.. could this be a bad pressure pump? Lorenzo Dobson
You made sure you had spark? If you did your more than likely looking at a fuel issue, i can't simply diagnose the vehicle without seeing it in hand but to me if the fuse keeps popping that may be your problem, this could be an electrical issue... i'm not certain but i would use a volt meter to make sure you have 12 volts @ the pump, if not it has to be an electrical issue* if you do have 12 volts then it could be a bad pump. When you say the pressure is low how low? What is the specs for the fuel pump? I would think if its anything less than 50psi its bad.
S80T6P_T_M
Yes I was told to check for corrosion in the wiring.. with the pump coming on and while cranking, I have no pressure.. the fuse blows when trying to crank... I am locating a pump today to have on hand.. this car I know to give me false codes due to another issue.. so I'm guessing it's the pump is bad.. I will check the voltage at the pump to verify.. Thx for your input..If I had to, is there a certain procedure to drop the tank?? I've done many others before but this tank look to be in there.. also will I need to do anything with the secondary float/sending unit behind the drivers side?? S8ET6
Remove the rear passenger seat. If I recall, you should have access to the tank from there without dropping the tank.

S80T6P_T_M
So I changed the fuel pump and it would have been an easier job had I had the tool to remove the plastic lock ring.. I used good old determination to get on off by force and the other came off after soaking in pb blaster.. but it was stubborn for a while.. The car runs good now.. the fuse for the fuel pressure pump/vacuum pump (#3 under the hood) still blows when I start the car.. Im wondering if it has been blown all along before my fuel pump issue. Does anyone know what the fuse is exactly related too?? I would like to look into finding the issue ev entertain though everything is normal.. Thanks again for all of the advice.. 831t5r
Seen vacuum pumps draw too much current. Disconnect it see what happens

S80T6P_T_M
After all that I went through with the pump i have a bigger issue now. last night the s80 started running hot while on the highway, I came up and shut the car off immediately.. I lost all the coolant and the car only cranks the starter but not the motor.... Im assuming I have a broken timing belt and the water pump went... I tried to fill the coolant up this morning, but it ran all out to the ground.. I did not have much time to look into the issue so I gathering all the help I can get as I will attempt to diagnose the issue and repair. i am in need of a list of things to check as well as any good advice on replacing the belt, pump and tensioner.. Im good with American cars but not to familiar with my volvo.. Can someone with knowledge on this please chime in.. any help is appreciated as usual..
