1999 V70 Wagon Buying Guide?

Hello everybody!

This is my first post on this forum in hope of getting an expert opinion.

I am considering purchasing 1999 Volvo V70 wagon, 183k miles. The cosmetically the car is in very good shape -- no rust, no dents. But high miles is worrying me a bit. I heard that these cars can run far beyond 200k. I'm planning to have it for 2-3 years, with about 10k per year.

So my question is: what should I look for at the inspection of this car? And what potential problems should I expect in the future?

Thank you for your help!

Timing belt every 105k

Tranny fluid condition

Yellow tag or white tag ETM (yellow is better)

CEL codes (check engine light)

Top motor mount

Rear main seal leaks

PCV system (smoke from dipstick)

And lots of suspension consideration but nothing model specific...

Thank you, Keaton85 for your advise. I have to learn many new terms though.
