rgreen4
I have a 98 V70 T5 R w/ 225k with a P0410 DTC I have checked the air pump by jumping the relay runs fine, replaced the SAS check valve both O2 sensor and the air pump relay, checked the resistance on the solenoid 33ohms. Oh BTW I also tried the SAS delete proceedure in the Modification section of this form (soldered the diode between pin 32 and 37 in the correct direction) still getting got the same P0410. I'm getting real close to inspection time so does anyone have any ideas?
cruzer555
Did you clear the code?
rgreen4
Yes I did.
Keaton85
Message lucky and see if he can do just an SAS delete. It would completely take out the system.
rgreen4
As I said in my post I already tried that and it didn't work.
Keaton85
That delete is a hardware based way of tricking the system. lucky (ARD tuning) might be able to remove the software that handles the SAS. Thus the ECU wouldn't even look for the system. Since it seems like you have a wiring issue that might be very hard to find. So in short, a software delete instead of a hardware delete. rgreen4
Since the air pump doesn't even want to run and I have voltage incoming to the relay for the air pump at 30 for power to the pump and voltage at 85 when the ignition switch is on to power the relay itself, 86 connects to pin 38 in the ECU via a blue w/ pink tracer wire, do you think that it may be a continuity problem with the blue and pink tracer wire going back to the ecu? And how do I get in touch w/ Lucky at ARD tuning for a software delete if necessary?
rgreen4
Update I checked the blue w/ pink tracer wire going from the air pump relay to the ecu connector in the black box next to the rt side fender wire is ok to the pin 38 socket in the ecu connector. same goes for the blue/ pink wire from the solenoid to the socket for pin 37.
