fasteddyT5
I need to replace the anchor mounts on the rear suspension of my 1998 S70. I found a write-up here from matthewsvolvo, but it doesn't give the torque specs for the bolts and its the only write-up I've been able to find. Does anyone know the specs? There are three bolts, two from the mount to the body and one from the mount to the trans-axle. Thanks!
info2x
The bolt that goes into the arm is 80Nm (59 ft-lbs) The pair that hold it in place are torqued to 50Nm and then 120 Deg. Don't forget to take it in for an alignment afterwards. I just did this job this past weekend... Both were toast. The other one looked like it was together but the inner metal sleeve was no longer bonded so it wasn't applying any torsional loads back into the arm. fasteddyT5
Thanks for the specs. I'm currently having a lot of trouble with removing the two vertical bolts due to corrosion between the steel bolt and aluminium frame. Time to start cutting. bob850
My transverse mounts just broke in the exact same way as the pic above.
