I am hooking up my amp right now and i can't get the nut currently on the battery terminal off. I seem to have enough space to put another nut on there to secure the power wire but i don't know what size nut i will need for that bolt on the battery. Anyone know or have other suggestions?

why can't you get it off? is the nut rounded off? (get some vice grips) Fix the problem you have now.. don't just put another nut on there... that's ghetto....

The nut seems to be somewhat rusted on there or something and yes, its also kind of rounded. The other problem is that there is little room for vice grips/wrenches to hold on to the bolt because of the battery casing on one side and wires on the other, only enough room to really get some needle nose pliers on the nut. the only thing that i can think could get it off would be an angled socket wrench which i don't have right now.

yeah, thats what I guessed... try putting some good penetrating oil on there, and let it sit for a couple hours.. , when you get it off, make sure you go get a new nut, and put some anti-seize on the threads when you reinstall it... The nut is prolly metric.. so if you get it off, just take it to the local hardware store and score another one.. hth man..
