Tightmopedman9
If the crankcase ventilation system (PCV) was clogged it would cause excessive crankcase pressure which would force the seal out and create a habitual leaking problem. However, it could have failed the first time due to age and subsequent times due to misinstallation. The best way to install the seal is to use an old seal as a drift and slowly work the seal in with a bit of lubricant (engine oil) on the outer edge. The seal must be flush against the mating surface. This is tough to do without a proper drift, however, an old seal works perfectly for this purpose.
