troyhyde
clarification ?: is "purge valve" the same thing as the "check valve?" b/c volvo calls it a "check" valve it you're talking about the same thing... spanks! The early turbo cars (94-96-ish) had just the purge valve (EVAP valve), 97-98 got a check valve in addition to the purge valve - its between the intake and purge valve so is presumably there to keep boost out of the evap system, there's also an additional hose that tees off and goes to the intake - the purge valve circuit can dump back into the intake hose post MAF. Never paid attention but this might allow the purge valve to operate all the time without turning off "on boost". Maybe there was an issue with the early set up, perhaps a blown purge valve could inadvertently allow boost to push into the charcoal canister or pressurize the tank. Not sure. Later cars got the purge valve, check valve, and a filter...... sexy
Brad850
It does have live data.. will have to check for ltft and stft tomorrow. The valve is functional so it's just a matter of the ecu now. Thanks for the help troyhyde.
