goobernoodles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRu6cvAiaJQ&feature=youtu.be I'm getting a grinding noise of sorts when I'm at low speed and putting a good amount of strain on the drivetrain. Turning right from a stop at the top of a hill, giving a little more gas than normal from a stop on a hill... you get the idea. Anyone recognize the noise heard at 2-5 seconds of the vid? CV joint perhaps? At first I thought I had a good excuse for my lazy ass to finally put my 5sp in... lol
predxen
Check your engine mounts.
Rsterns
If I understand correctly the noise takes place on a hard right turn from a stop? Could be something as simple as tire rub of your running oversize or are lowered? A CV joint is usually more of a clunking. Could even be a really bad ball joint flopping around with a hard turn causing tire rub? At least this stuff should be easy to rule out.
burnout8488
Jesus! Scared the shit out of me, had my speakers up too high. It sounds like the noise is in-line with the vibration of the engine. Probably not axle related. Sounds more like your exhaust might be rubbing against a heatshield, for example. Or any other engine part against the body.
goobernoodles
Turns out it was the OBX downpipe hitting the sway bar. lol
