Check engine light has a code P0237..Turbo Super Charger Boost Sensor A circuit low

Is that easy to replace myself , if I was to buy the part ?

I just had a radiator replaced, a new coil replaced, soon the timing belt will need replacing, I'm exhausted by all the $$$ I'm putting out this past week....and I need to replace this sensor to get new registration tags : /

Also the guy put 3 liters of coolant in the new radiator which is fine but damn they were $15 a liter, is that right ??? Couldn't I have used just regular 50/50 coolant ???

Thanks I love all your guys (gals) help

Check your wastegate pressure setting first. If it is not set properly, this code can result. But if your wastegate is properly adjusted, it's more than likely your TCV.

The TCV is attached to your airbox and has three vacuum lines going into it, one labeled red, one yellow and one blue.

It looks like this:

You can get an upgraded one from ARD or Snabb which is what I would recommend if yours is bad.

Just pop the hoses off your old one and follow ARD's included instructions for reinstallation.

For your other questions, volvo coolant is best and doesn't discolor your expansion tank, but regular coolant works as well. $15 a liter sounds about right for volvo stuff.

If you replaced one coil, you may have to replace the others soon, so be prepared for that.

No problem.

And it doesn't matter. That's what it looks like. I have a 1999 V70 myself. They used the same TCV from 98 to at least 2001 I think. That one was just the first picture I wanted on google. But that is what you're looking for.

Do you know how to adjust your wastegate?

Boost Control Module?

That's one of the easier parts to install

You know there is no such thing as a boost control module right? Had someone else posted this incorrect information you would have embarrassed them and petitioned that they be burned at the stake. Food for thought next time you want to be an asshat.

OP: The code stored is most generally associated with a failed boost pressure solenoid. Contrary to the information posted in this thread it's most likely NOT your waste gate setting or turbo control valve (TCV). If you aren't experiencing any driveability issues you could try clearing the code and seeing if it returns. If you do have a poor running scenario or the code returns you can locate the boost pressure sensor on the plastic charge pipe before it meets the throttle. Be advised that there are two sensors in the location (the other being an inlet air temp sensor) so you'll be looking for the sensor on the right side. Also, avoid aftermarket sensors as they generally don't work, Bosch only here.

asshat ?? hahaha

anyways, thanks for the update, I had the coil replaced the same day as the radiator not that it probably matters but thought I would mention that.

I wish I could get a straight answer, I like yours the best : ) all I can say is when I took it into my shop they tested it because of the check engine light and the guy said it came back as a turbo sensor............then I had my son test it yesterday (he has one of those tester contraptions ) and it came up

Code P0237

TURBO SUPER CHARGER BOOST SENSOR A CIRCUT LOW

soooo with that said is it the right part that you showed in the post ?

Thanks, Pam

Yes, that is correct part pictured. If you just had the radiator replaced the charge pipe this sensor is installed in would have to be removed. You could pop the hood and make sure that it was plugged back in after radiator replacement.

I don't believe it has anything to do with radiator replacement, since the code read the turbo sensor.

Do you happen to have a part number for this part ? I have bought thru IPD before, or need the exact name of part please.

Thanks !

Go onto FCP and find it.... not that hard.

You replaced the rad. and that sensor is right in the line of fire when doing this job if some big handed mechanic started pulling everything to get there fat fingers in there.
