Hard Shifting After M56 Swap

Recommended Posts

I'm in the 5w30 crowd as well, and have been on a number of builds.

That was one of the things brought over by Swedish Mike a number of years ago as something commonly done in Sweden.

There were other things that you might not like either Hussein, like just running with your car a quart low on oil to keep from blowing out the dipstick from crankcase pressure on 1/4 mile runs

LOL that's a new one to me. I think I read somewhere that the swedes purposely run their cars a qt. HIGH on oil for track days to make sure the oil pickup stays submerged under heavy lateral Gs

weight savings

Taking it to the extreme.

Sorry, back to your regularly scheduled m56 thread...

Maybe they go one high or low depending on the type of track  I have had both cavitation in corners and the dipstick blow out repeatedly on 1/4 mile runs when I used to run a 7250 limiter.

I lubed the cables on my C70 and it takes fairly light effort but it's a bit notchy- if I'm not careful I only go halfway into first or third and it pops out and grinds. But I can flick it with two fingers into 2nd or 4th. I'm still working on why it does that, I might go to solid bushings and see if it helps. My 01 V70 is a bit stiffer but nothing I'd call high effort.
