Misfiring S70: Plugs?

I was noticing some minor low speed misfiring, so I decided to change the plugs to my new-to-me 2000 S70. I followed directions because I have never worked on a Volvo. I put in Bosch Platinum 2 plugs in, tightened to torque. It ran smooth as glass for about 5 miles and then began misfiring badly. I didn't pull the plugs then because the engine was hot.

Is there a history of the S70 not liking the Platinum 2's? Should I just go get the Volvo branded plugs and start from there? I appreciate any help.

Thank you for the input. It is a non-turbo. But I think I am going to find a dealer near work and get the plugs anyway.

If your car is a turbo, then most likely is the platinum plugs.

Turbos like copper, so go with OEM. In the meantime try Bosch Super, have copper electrode. The work great in my GLT and cheap at 99 cents.

So I changed back to the Volvo 3-electrode plugs-- new ones, of course. The car runs normally again. I measured the resistance across the Bosch plugs. It is very different than the Volvo plugs.

I am still getting an occassional 'stumble' when in Drive and at a complete stop. Is that normal? Any suggestions on what to check to reolve?

Just dawned on me, you have a non turbo, with stumble at idle. Clean your throttle body, on the non turbo it's easy, the ETM is on the side of the intake maniflod. Just take the rubber hose off the ETM and the air box, work it out of the way and Then open the flap and clean everything up with a rag soaked with carb cleaner. I stick a med sized screw driver down the TB to hold the flap open, clean one side then move the screw driver and do the other side.
