cruzer555
I have a 2002 C70 coupe that I bought cheap with tranny problems, I have just sourced a working replacement tranny but I'm not sure I want to attempt the repair myself as I haven't done one before. So I'm looking for someone to replace it for me. If anyone in CT or near CT is a competent mechanic or knows one please let me know. Thanks! He works on all the cars in the family and his customers love him. Maybe you should give him a call. Trumbull is not too far from New Haven. Ps. I go down to Trumbull quite often. haha

cruzer555
Thank you! I hope it works out. I called him, his quote was competitive with the others so far, only one shop has him beat but its further away... I'm really leaning towards learning to DIY though because $800-1000 is a lot just for labor! If anyone knows a cheaper shop or can do it themselves competently please let me know! Otherwise if anyone knows of a writeup for a tranny swap that could help too lol

cruzer555
Have Tom and Brandon do it. I'll swing down and help too. That's honestly your best bet! They quoted me $1k though, and it's totally fair don't get me wrong, right in line with every other shop. BUT I'd just rather learn to do it myself if it saves me 1000 friggin dollas!
