Xc60 Rdesign Mod

XC60RMOD

Recommended Posts

Thought I would share the latest mods to my 2013 XC60 RDesign. This is the third mod I have done to a Volvo and it's my favourite. Start with an RDesign with a Polestar upgrade - add all the Heico suspension kits and sport exhaust with flapper control - add a IPD sway bar - add 8 piston Brembo front brakes - track out the wheels by 15mm and finish them off with 20" Giovanna rims. You have a clean looking vehicle with amazing performance.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate that.

I had to track out the wheels for the front calibre which is huge, but the stability it gives you is like driving on rails.

I hope you have some clear protection film down the sides of the car, the tires are going to sandblast your rocker panels over time since they're not in the wheelwells. Was 15mm the bare minimum for spacing them out or could you get away with 5 or 10mm?

Wish I have money for upgrade. Which brembo kit is this? How much was it and the heico exhaust kit.

It was from Evolve (Big Brake Kit), originally designed for my XC90 and modified to kit the XC60 - it was $6000 originally for front and rear brakes. The Heico Exhaust kit I cannot remember the price as I order a bunch of parts at once - bear in mid you need to replace the rear skirt.

Have the 3M treatment on the front, but nothing on the sides and yes, because the calibre is so huge, I had to go 15mm.
