burnout8488
Have someone put the car in drive, and keep their foot on the brake. Pop the hood, loosen the top mount and retighten it, all while the car is in drive. Re-did the top mount in drive (did nothing). Shit man. Feel like I just bought it. This was before I knew that uro was trash. But thats my guess too adam... it feels like the motor is sitting on the subframe. Think I'm going to buy it tonight, then if that doesn't fix it...tranny mount. And if that doesn't work... who wants my car? Do it in reverse, not drive. Loosen the mount prior to shifting into reverse, too.
Brad850
O I did do it in reverse per your advice about a month ago when the vibration wasn't as bad. I tried both because I'm desperate to not spend money on stupid mounts that I don't need. I think/hope it's the trans mount like na game suggested. I installed the qbm firewall mount like 4-5 years ago so it could be that also. Will let you guys know which one is causing this in about a week or two. Kevin.
Yea the only old mounts left are the trans mount and firewall mount. Although one thing I did notice, my new oem front mount was about half an inch higher than the uro one. Had to jack the engine up a little to line up the holes. I spoke to soon in claiming it fixed nothing, the car does feel a little tighter. that's because the new mount hasn't had any weight on it yet O I did do it in reverse per your advice about a month ago when the vibration wasn't as bad.
