R MOOSE
Agreed, nothing like original paint. Dan, are you looking for a stock headlight, or were they something special? I still have a LH headlight from my S70 kicking around somewhere... Nice work!! Joe PM sent
R MOOSE
Well, after going over all the little things on the R, I found out that the caR was repainted so I am going to have to get the whole caR painted again While I save up for the new paint job, I at least got some color code paint from the local paint shop and paint just the fender for now. I know it doesn't match perfect but it's better then what it was. I kinda like the black hood on it I'm still waiting for a headlight from TYCONN.......? I also put the caR on hold for a week because I rescued a puppy from the pound. 10mo old Pitt/Chuawa mix. Looks like a mini Pitt with big ears. I love the little guy! sjmcarz
Nice work. I like the look of the black hood also, kind of gives it the carbon look. My son and I rescued a 2000 VR a year and a half ago, bad engine, bad trans, almost bad everything. He's now driving it as his first car. I need to post a story on it. R MOOSE
Is your dad a motor head like you? He's the one that got me into cars. I did my 1st oil change at 7yo He's more American Muscle but he's coming around.
sjmcarz
Yeah, it runs in my family also. I was into the American Muscle until I started working for a Volvo dealership 14 years ago.The 2000VR was my first real import project. I had never done an engine swap on FWD or AWD, and it was my first time rebuilding a turbo. It was a given that my son (floggingmike) would have interest in cars. If we're getting off-track here, continue with the Saff. project!

Serge
Looking great! Just curious, though. Was it better to hammer out the frame damage versus going to a yard with a sawzall, cutting off a part of the frame and then welding it on? You need to do something with that hood! I'm just going to wait till I can find a hood and fender from a Saffron. Damnit Randy you spilt my juicebox!
