BadHac
Ok I have a question. I want to replace the factory speakers in my S60. Ive read that for some reason Volvo uses 8 ohm speakers insteak of industry standard 4 ohm speakers. My question is can I just swap out the speakers or do I need to do something different? johnwen
i suggest you had better find the same ohm speaker to replace..if you was not afraid it should be shorted out. you can take a try
matt1122
The outputs are all rate 4 ohm, but there are two 8 ohm speakers connected in parallel to each output: Front Left: Door Speaker + Door Tweeter Front Right: Door Speaker + Door Tweeter Rear Left: Door Speaker + C Pillar Rear Right: Door Speaker + C Pillar If you want to use 4 ohm speakers, you cold just disconnect the C Pillar or Door Tweeters to maintain a total imp of 4 ohms. Or you can do what I did and say "w/e, I'm going to do it anyway" - there's a chance you'll blow things out this way, but I thnk Volvo's systems just have auto shutoffs to protect the system. Don't quote me on that.
