atenza_freak
Well I got a boost gauge all ghetto fabbed up on my car coming off a vacuum line on the intake manifold. I did some test runs mostly in 3rd or 4th gear. The first run I can go up to 10ish psi and around 4500 rpm the boost goes down to 6psi. Like a my boost control valve is sensing some issues and limits boost from there on out. (BTW I upgraded to a IPD heavy duty boost control valve). Then I will get a code for TCV. The car will run like **** and idle like garbage. Until i reset my battery or clear the TCV code it will stay like this. I clear it and the car runs great until i go WOT again. I was thinking maybe my diverter valve is crap? Here are some video's with a boost gauge. Stock boost on a HPT is 10psi right? This is the first run with the car running normal it goes up to 10ish psi the after 4500 RPM's it goes down to 6 psi. Then the car runs like **** and i go wot while in this limp mode and get 5ish psi max in 3rd or 4th gear. http://youtu.be/9fKTrdME9Ko Another video but shorter doing the same thing http://youtu.be/lqiJv63XpxQ Boosting in this limp mode 4ish psi max 3rd and 4th gear http://youtu.be/TTViordDI9Q Then i reset the battery and its a repeat of this process. burnout8488
Wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of vacuum leak, or maybe the MAF sensor. The TCV could be totally shot and the car would (probably) never start idling like that. Have you double checked the TCV lines are hooked up to the correct ports?
