JOHN_CENA
Hey guys, I wanted to know if manual 850s ever had a starter inhibitor that wouldn't crank the engine unless if the clutch was pressed in. Talking with SV on here, the cars didn't come with one. So I was wondering, the easiest way to do it would be to have a normally open switch that would spring closed when the clutch was depressed (ie; a brake light switch). Just mount it on the clutch pedal, then wire it up to the ignition switch. Which leads me to the next question. Anyone have a pinout of the ignition switch? survolvo
Not sure why you would want it to be like that... Also can't give you answer on if or how it can be done. What I can tell you is where to find a wiring diagram though... http://www.volvowiringdiagrams.com/?dir=volvo/850%20Wiring%20Diagrams
blkaplan
Why would you want that? That's a feature for bozos who know nothing about cars.

Piston Slapper
Came on the Denso car too. I've been seriously considering disabling it on my car, as I'm not braindead and can instantly tell by fapping the stick if my car is in gear or not.
