2001 V70 T5 - Uem (Can A Used Rear View Mirror Be Reprogammed?)

I own a 2001 Volvo V70 T5 With a 5 Speed Manual

These Items are currently not functioning: Sunroof, Sunroof Control Panel Lights, Key-less Entry System.

I replaced the Siren Module and it fixed nothing. Then I found a rear view mirror (UEM - Upper Electronic Module) from a working 2001 V70 T5. (The UEM "Upper Electronic Module" is inside the Mirror).

I plugged the mirror in and everything functions as it should (with the exception of the keyless entry system (Alarm) because the chip that controls this is located on the UEM)

After 4 or so cold starts the sunroof stops working. My guess is that it needs to be properly coded to the car.

So my question is has anyone here successfully RE-Coded a used UEM? (Mirror) If so how did you do it?

Why am I asking? A new mirror is $500 at the dealer. And coding will cost another $200. A used miror is roughly $100.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

If this has been covered someplace else I apologize for not seeing it.

This is an ME7 car, so the CEM, ECU and UEM are VIN encoded. You might try talking to the folks at XEMODEX, they know how to reprogram the ECU, and I talked to them and they said they were willing to try to do the same to the UEM. Otherwise, you transfer the glass portion to the old UEM. Question is, why did you replace it in the first place? If just the glass was badk, retreive the hold one and just change the mirror.
