atenza_freak
I recently got $4300 in hail damage to the volvo and I'm pretty sure it will be totaled out by the insurance. It has 127,000 miles and runs great and all the electrical stuff works. I'm having a hard time seeing how much this car is worth. On nada its $5200 and on KBB and edmunds its $3900. I tried to find a manual c70 HPT on auto trader and they are non excistent. I see on here they go for around 5500-8 grand depending on condition. What do you think i should try to get out of the apraiser tomorrow? I owe $5100 on it. Heres pics of the car with hail damage(cant even see it). Keaton85
Try and just pay it off with the claim and then drive it, all paid for!

Mossback
$500 TO $1000 worth of PDR ought to do it. See it all the time on new car lots in Colorado
Ihatespeedbumps
The appraiser is going to make you an offer upon initial inspection, never take the first one. Unfortunately, insurance companies aren't really interested in how "rare" a 12 year old Volvo is, just not the business they are in. If you want top dollar don't expect it and prepare for a fight. (n)A-GAME
Who told you $4300? I agree with Mossback, it should not be more than 1-2 grand TOPS to fix that, which is less than value, unless there's glass to be replaced also, etc.
Matty Moo
They probably aren't going to total it out for hail damage. We get hail damage quite often here and rarely does the bill hit even 3k.
atenza_freak
They have to replace the hood, pdr the roof/ trunk.
