S70-R
Yeah that was my mistake on initial install it has since been corrected. They are working fine, a small amount of corrosion over the winter but not half as bad as the TA's they are connected to. The pillow balls eventually broke in and they turn now, they were very right before and the strut shaft was turning but now that is no longer the case. The only other issues I have had are that the top nuts loosen over time so I have to stay on top of that and the Allen screws used for camber adjustment loosen off also. Probably could be fixed with some loc-tite, I just tighten them about once a month and all is well Thank you! But tell me, is it supposed that pillow balls to turns? I don't know but it seems the spacer and the top nut are the ones that should turn inside the pillow ball, correct? If you have installed it correctly from the begining the pillow ball would never turn itself and instead all the strut would turn as a whole piece right? My other concern is if the plate top nuts fits on my shock rods. They don't mention anything about that but the shock rod may vary from coilover to coilover which can make that top nut useless and it is a very important one. EDIT: And about noises, any? Shock travel has really increased? It provides a more comfortable ride right?
woah4
No change in ride that I noticed, I did it to get rid of the rubber mounts really. No noises to speak of, and I can say about shock travel as I haven't had any issues... I believe the ball is what turns and is supposed to, rather than the but and spacer turning. As far as the nut fitting the coilovers it should all be the same, diameter is anyway, and I don't see why the thread should vary between manufacturers
S70-R
If is the ball what is supposed to turn why it was stuck in the begining? It's odd...I'll ask the seller about this. Thank you a lot. About the diameter of the rod, for instance this coilovers shock rod diameter is not the same as stock shock rod diameter. That's why I said it. woah4
That's pretty strange, my TA's were the same size, thread also. I would have thought they should be the same, because even without the camber plates they should have to meet the tolerance for the standard mounts I would think? I guess company's do weird things

Actually diameter may be the same but my JOM coilover shock rod screw is different compared to stock shock rod screw because I tried to put the stock nut in the JOM coilovers shock rod and it didn't fit. woah4
Not sure what to tell you in that case. Might have to ask the eBay seller to supply two of the spacers which go on the underside of the pillow ball, in instead of using the top nut included use the stock top nut from the coilovers with the extra spacer inverted under it, that should give the desired effect and make up for the different size

S70-R
One more question. In the picture below, you had incorrectly put the stock nut before the spacer. So I assume the spacer should seat on the bottom of the shock rod screw, right? If that's the case, in the picture where is sitting your coilover spring plate at? It seems it is free between the coilover spring plate and the stock nut...
woah4
It doesn't because to make up for this you simply raise the height of the coilovers, which takes up that gap.
S70-R
But in the picture the coilover wasnt raised yet right?
