Mike_Driver Posted August 24, 2013 Report Share Posted August 24, 2013 I know this may be a N00b move but make sure the balance and/or fade knobs haven't been turned, You may think I am an idiot but I have seen it before where a person's kid or passenger was messing with their radio and turned the knobs. Even if it is only 1 or 2 speakers sometimes if you "cycle" them off and on they come back to life. If that was the problem then you are all set and I will not laugh at you for it. Another problem we see in the XC-90's and I am not sure if your radio has the option is people will mess with all the audio settings and the radio gets confused but if you select the "reset audio settings" then most of the time all the speakers will work again, unless there is a real problem. Working at a Volvo dealership we get a lot of the "funny" problems that are nothing. We see stuff like the cargo light bulb being burnt out in S-70's mainly when they just put something big in the trunk that turned the rheostat. We get the 850's blowing cold air from the center vents when the heater is on since they unknowingly have the outside blend door open. We get the high beam headlights not staying on since they don't have the headlight switch in the correct position. And we see the right rear fog light is burnt out until we explain to them why there is only a light on the driver's side. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
