cn90
I wonder if we can go to Volvo dealer and speak to their mechanic and borrow their tool. Give the mechanic $150 as deposit. Use the tool and bring it back and get your $150 back. Is this a good idea? rmorse, I linked him to 65 Euros! hahahahaha

nocturnal7x
Anyone have an opinion on these two parts? http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-trailing-arm-link-rear-outer-s70-v70-c70-850-3516122l vs http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-trailing-arm-link-rear-outer-3516122 And then ive seen these sold for even more Because says volvo on it? http://www.ipdusa.com/products/10120/121503-rear-control-arm-link Probably worth going with OEM because they last 100,000+ miles but maybe the cheapo ones do too? Thanks!
Aequitas_Veritas
Lemforder is OEM, they make them for Volvo, so I dont think you will have a problem. The ones I got though are cheaper, and made by Febi/bilstien and in Germany. I think they are the best value vs price. But I havnt installed them yet so I dont know if they last. Sure look good though.
nocturnal7x
FYI I tried to order the puller tool from tasca, got an email saying the piece is not available and has been discontinued.
erikv11
... Because says volvo on it? http://www.ipdusa.com/products/10120/121503-rear-control-arm-link ... not quite: it's because the website says ipd. same part is $151 at tasca

nocturnal7x
anyone have any luck with doing this? So I got that far, issue is the puller seems to be pulling the link apart, should I just keep going? will it pull the whole thing out? or is this thing coming out in pieces? Is that ok it it comes out in pieces? will the pieces come out or will they be stuck in there and cause me more issues? Thanks! ps. I put the car back together, im gonna re-attempt this tomorrow. Im shot.
castconcrete
I have been a little puzzled about this as well. Obviously the bolt on the tool that goes through the delta arm can't be screwed in so far as to "catch" on the link itself...correct? Your photo sure looks like you are on the right track. Please post your results and thoughts when you get back to the project.

Ill try again tomorrow, ill take some pics after I break the thing/complete the task
Timbo Slice
Please do. I'm in desperate need to get this done and once the new car gets here and I can take this one off the road, it'll all get done.
