Volta55
just thinking out loud here.. since i have been having trouble trying to sell my coilovers for my gen2 02 v40 (ksport kontrol pros ), i was thinking of swapping them into my new 855r that i am getting this weekend. now i have NO idea what the eye to eye is on the stock struts of the 855 compared to the v40 , or even if the mounting holes will line up.. the 855r is around 400 LBS heavier than the v40, the preload of the spring itself might be to soft ( and cranking up the stiffness will probably blow the dampening )... but its only about 100 LBS heavier per wheel crazy idea? or will it just simply not work im considering doing LIGHT mods to the coilovers (changing mounting holes in the lowers ) thanks jordan
Timbo Slice
No it will not work. I looked into it when I sold my S40 that I had on KWs, as did Kurt when he considered buying my KWs. Think of it this way: if it were that easy to just swap them over, there wouldn't be such a drastic difference in price for S40 coilovers vs P80 coilovers.
