Mesoam
My AC will blow warmer (noticeably) on one side compared to the other. I've been told this could be a bad climate control unit, can these be interchanged from another car? Is a new download necessary? Could it possibly just need a software update? Can VIDA/Dice scan for climate control codes?
Ihatespeedbumps
Could be a bad climate unit, but would be unlikely. Generally when I have this complaint in the shop the first thing I do is check the A/C pressure. Low Freon charge will cause this condition, and is the most common cause. If the Freon level is correct you'll need to see if any damper motors have stored faults and attempt to carry about a calibration of the damper motors. Yes VIDA/Dice will be able to carry out all of these functions.
Mesoam
when i searched around it seemed a recalibration of the ecc unit was a common solution...the question remains whether I can do this with an "offline" vida/dice or if its a connected dealer only thing...meh
Ihatespeedbumps
You can absolutely calibrate the damper motors with a bootleg copy of VIDA. Select the CCM on the map, go to the advanced tap and look for the calibration there.
