Simply Volvo
Coolant Temperature Sensor is probably on its way out. It is connected to the thermostat, little brass fitting. Its a $30 part.

msestina
Coolant Temperature Sensor is probably on its way out. It is connected to the thermostat, little brass fitting. Its a $30 part. I have the same issue. Replaced with a brand new Coolant Temperature Sensor did not fix. I think it's intermittent due to brittle insulation on the wiring. Can anyone help tracing where that temp sensor female connector terminates? Want to run new wires but that connector wire gets buried in the engine harness somewhere.
