Volta55 Posted September 10, 2013 Report Share Posted September 10, 2013 so i am starting to wrap up my Stage 0 work, now i start to look on the outside of the car to see what i can do to her i always wanted a black on black wagon, so i am going to be keeping the black steelies ( going to clean them up and re-spray them and gloss ) and get darker tints but i do have a couple questions on some things i should do the weather strip or trim ( im not sure what it is called ) is hard as a rock and it peeling off everywhere my R bumper is really boned up.. probably 15 zip ties holding it together. im having quite a difficult time trying to find a R black bumper and the clear coat on the roof is gone but other then that, i am loving it more and more each day! would love to hear some of your thoughts/ best route to fix these problems thanks! D s50r Posted September 10, 2013 Report Share Posted September 10, 2013 def rip it out, new ones are a pita to put back in tho, never like doing that. sand down the roof with like 1500 grit and plastic dip the roof! or sand it down and respray it with new clear. ive painted my old roof on my r with rattle cans and took the time to wetsand and it looked amazing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Volta55 Posted September 10, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 10, 2013 i was thinking of removing it.. rust is already creeping in ( bought this car from NH that the dude used it as a winter commuter car for 2 winters haha ) as for the top, i was having fun thinking about putting a flannel red/black pattern on top anyways.. just a funny thought. i think it would look sick with everything else blacked out any tips for the bumper? and how can i "chrome" up the "850R" ... its dark grey right now and i want the 850R to be visible so people think i am badass................................. Volta55 Posted September 10, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 10, 2013 alright so i started taking off that trim (pic #1).. it is friggen rust hell underneath it.. the entire distance too.. even if its a pita to put the weather trim in i would like to somewhat cover it anyone know the volvo part #?? and the seller had one of those rubber adhesive cell phone gel holders attached to the dash.. took it off and theres a hole and cracks on the outer shell about 3" by 2" how the hell am i gunu patch that lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
