DB855R
SOLD 1995 Volvo 850 T5-R highly modified with 36k on engine Currently car sits at 216,3xx on body $5,500 obo Please follow the link below: Knowingly everyone followed the link that gives you a great well laid out description of all modifications. Two previous Volvo enthusiasts spent a lot of time and money on this R and know the car and modifications better than me. That link also has excellent photos of the car I only have an IPhone for pics. This car is fast, fun, loud, low and surprisingly reliable. What I’ve done to the R was fix a few issues: BODY WORK DONE painted rattle can high gloss black. Only area not fixed was DS rear upper fender (see pics) All the original body panels were NOT replaced. They fixed up well. Have a used trunk all black in excellent condition to go with sale. Did not put it on the current trunk had the carbon fiber key delete and Pigmat for the stereo. -New Drivers side rear tail light painted grey trim black to match -Added a Volvo Turbo rear wing with brake light painted rattle can high gloss black -New rear passenger side door trim painted black -Painted R front fairing black to many rock chips and road scuffs before - Welded DS end link to D2 coil over it was sheared right off at weld COOLING FANS -Hard Wired Cooling Fans (works excellent). Upon purchase of the car the factory cooling fan was intermittent and it was brand new from previous owner. I replaced ECT, Thermostat, New relay and same issue. I had a brand new in the box Hella light kit. This kit has fuse relay, inline fuse and a switch. I upgraded the wiring to a heavier gage wire, ran all wire and put in a 25amp fuse it’s never let me down in a year now. Switch is mounted behind turn signal in a blank switch spot on dash (looks good). Utilized factory wire loom to run wires through dash very clean install. -Best part never cut or removed any factory wiring it’s entirely plug and play you can return to stock setup within 2 minutes. After install found out why factory fan was intermittent a bad ground wire. The front mounted pusher fan was disconnected when I purchased car. It is still mounted on car and runs if hooked up I choose only to run the factory fan I think running two fans would kill the fuse. -New cooling fan relay included in sale if you chose to go back to the stock setup STEREO Sounds excellent I didn’t get a sub woofer when I purchased to car and you don’t need it. I currently have the amp removed it was in middle of the trunk I need trunk space. I also believe there was a bad ground or a bad amp. I reground the amp but when car is idling stereo is perfect but at WOT you get interference so I just removed the amp you still have sound from 2 speakers. All the wiring is there and amp can be hooked right up to test the entire system amp is included with the sale. MAINTENANCE -Mounted Optima Battery to a Volvo battery tray in trunk (it would move around in turns before) -New ECT sensor -New fuel pressure regulator (on fan shroud) -New Volvo thermostat -New plugs -Oil change Castrol Full Synthetic 10W-40 -4 wheel alignment and tire rotation Also included in sale are another clutch, new rear passenger side taillight (current one is perfect but has battery disconnect mounted in it), valve cover, trunk, and amp (might be more have to check in the garage) Issues and Recommendations The Green Prosport Water Temp gauge in the IPD 3 gauge pillar pod lights up but has no sending unit. The previous owner was going to mail it to me because I forgot to pick it up at purchase. Didn’t bother me factory gauge works fine. No headliner from when I bought the car. I personally like the look it’s all black inside and the OEM ones are beige. When I bought the car one of the Halo HID fog light ballasts was burnt out it still is. Although I feel the tune is great I would recommend a retune. It’s fine for everyday driving but long highway rides I feel it could drop about 300 to 400 RPMS for better gas mileage but on the flipside you NEVER have to downshift to pass anyone. This is a pure highway car it pulls extremely hard. Only reason for sale I recently acquired a 1953 Lincoln that needs garaged and a few thousand into it to make it street worthy. Also with the current rim and tire setup the fronts stick out a little pass the fender wells (Visible in pic above). Went to 2 shops they won’t pass it, pulling the front fenders or 18x8 Pegs would work fine but I don’t want to purchase another set of rims I already have 4 sets and 3 Volvo's. This car will always put a smile on your face. Truly a great car everything is done to this R. I will work on the price with the right buyer seeing I have another 850R we could swap parts, but it’s so well built the upgrades make it, I don't want to take away from it. $5,500 obo PM me for my cell# or email dtbaum@epix.net Stance

DB855R
Thanks for replies, I would keep this car before I'd think of parting it out. I like the car way to much. I'm going to take work off Fri and borrow a set of Pegs and ill be able to run it through for inspection. Pic below of how current rims stick out (shops don't like). DB855R
Just got fresh inspection and emissions good till 9/14. Had to put on borrowed 18" Pegs. I enjoy the coil over suspension now nice to have some tire between you and the road almost 100% better ride quality. And was able to get a regular camera vs the Iphone. Teaser photo below: Tomorrow I'm going to wash her and if have enough daylight take some decent pics.
