He was done as far as the Republican party is concerned as soon as he accepted the Ambassadorship from Obama. And he's a terrible campaigner too. Otherwise, it just seems like the political version of celebrity gossip. I understand why the would-be candidate does this, I don't understand why people play it to it beyond the usual gossip-level interests.If a member here announced their intention to run, it would certainly depend on who. If it seemed plausible, I think it'd spawn a great discussion about how the process works. But other than that, I'll believe it when I see it. A lot like announcing a build-thread, but then starting the discussion by saying you're planning one.
