Oh, I thought that was already a given. But Mike, you can't make that claim unless you acknowledge that those positions were prerequisites for Romney surviving the primaries. The far Right still held too much sway in 2012.

at the end of the day, he had to say them. If he moved right to appease people, he still made the choice.

I don't know, he seemed pretty plastic sometimes. Are you sure he wasn't an automaton that the campaign put out when they couldn't convince him to say it?

Yo Mike, so no evidence was found that Chris Christie was involved in shutting down the George Washington Bridge.

Wonder what that means for his prospects in the primaries. I still think it doesn't work for him. Too many people think he's dirty.

That's never going to happen. He was done as far as the Republican party is concerned as soon as he accepted the Ambassadorship from Obama. And he's a terrible campaigner too. Some of his debate performances last go around made Alan Keyes look good.

Well, it meant they intend to run. Now you saying you don't care if certain member intend to run for presidential election?

I'll care when they actually start campaigning, and their advisers (if any) determine this is going to make sense. Otherwise, it just seems like the political version of celebrity gossip. I understand why the would-be candidate does this, I don't understand why people play it to it beyond the usual gossip-level interests.

If a member here announced their intention to run, it would certainly depend on who. If it seemed plausible, I think it'd spawn a great discussion about how the process works. But other than that, I'll believe it when I see it. A lot like announcing a build-thread, but then starting the discussion by saying you're planning one. The general consensus around here is "come back when you have a plan".

Remind me what this thread title is again

Wouldn't that make this the correct audience to ask?
