Cruz chose Fiorina in part because she's been extremely effective in attacking Trump which is his primary focus right now. I predict it will have an impact if he let's her loose to go after Trump hard over the next several weeks. Second, she's a highly effective debater and I would predict she'll be fairly effective at countering Hillary and whomever she chooses for her running mate if Cruz gets the nomination. (Not that I think he would win if he does get the nomination). It's tempting to compare her to Palin but they're night and day when it comes to professionalism and intelligence. At this point I've given up hope for the Republicans. As for something to be worried about, an interesting career biography on Paul Manafort, Trump's new consigliere: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/04/paul_manafort_isn_t_a_gop_retread_he_s_made_a_career_of_reinventing_tyrants.html Trump may not get the Pub nod but it wont be because anything those 2 turds did. Kevin excels at this and is channeling the young idealistic perspective. Ted bad! Carly bad! No real rationale except the gut reaction. 10 hours ago, ErikS said: He suffers more than the average politician from false consensus bias. I would question that statement. Cruz recognizes who his constituency is and has fairly effectively gone after it. He believes there is an underlying pocket of support for his beliefs and polls certainly support his beliefs. The problem is not the message but more the messenger and the timing. Maslowes hierarchy should tell him that there's a higher order need driving the masses right now. That and a failure on his part to make nice with everyone around him. He believes his rebellious approach is what the "market" is looking for, which is true, just his presentation is less compelling than the greater radicals around him. Which in this case you are. What you're saying is that Cruz is the conservative equivalent to ISIS. He wants to establish a Christian caliphate. Yes, I've taken it to the extreme but only to match the extremity of your accusation. Which is a gross misrepresentation of Cruz's statements and actions. I don't particularly like Cruz but he's better than Trump. Any actions that Cruz has suggested that I've read he would take have been in line with the Constitution. He's consistent about that if nothing else. If he makes a recommendation that is different from it his call is for a Constitutional amendment to change it, not to act by Executive fiat as W and Obama have. Kevin.
Ted Cruz continually cries about Religious Liberty, an example being the removal of the 10 commandments monument from the Oklahoma Capital. That monument shouldn't have been built in the first place, the use of state funds to build a statue of religious means is highly irresponsible. More like religious cherry picking. It only applies to his beliefs and not mine, I wonder what his reaction would be if a Muslim monument was built? this is also coming from the same man that doesn't believe that an Atheist is fit to be the commander in chief and that the commander in chief should begin every day on his knees praying Did I mention that he only wants us to accept Christian refugees and no others?

I can't say I've ever voted for anyone in a presidential election, as I've never thought since I was of voting age I had any power. Does voting for Trump empower you? How will it affect your daily life if elected? Will he get rid off all them Messicans and lower your taxes? How about if he promised subsidies for Volvo 850 restorations? Fervor is not long last, and promises are forgotten. I don't believe in our larger political system, so I choose not to let it influence me. But you do choose to disparage the candidates you don't agree with and voice your opinion on political discussions that you have given up the right to influence because you don't step up and vote? I guess that is the right that the government you don't believe in gave you. Playing the race card? Really? never pictured you a lemur...
