because it directly effects my life, let me explain.

People like Ronald Reagan have made it vitually impossible for my wife to have proper treatment of her medical condition, fibromyalgia. For those of you who don't know what fibro is click here. It causes her immense pain and her doctors only want to prescribe her opiates to alleviate her pain. Opiates were just found to cause immense harm to your body when used for long term pain management and really shouldn't be used in that manner. Medicinal marijuana will help treat every single one of my wifes symptoms and will allow her to exercise to help build some muscle back in her knees to help with the pain. Unfortunately, for YEARS medicinal marijuana has never been explored due to the fact that a select few felt it was dangerous and a gateway drug (which it isn't in the slightest). Testing in Europe has found medical marijuana to be the absolute best solution for fibro pain. Thankfully Congress recently passed legislation to provide medical marijuana to veterans, so that is a step in the right direction. My wife needs medical marijuana for her life to go back to normal, so I am extremely frustrated with people who won't even consider legalizing medicinal in all 50 states

Though I probably haven't contributed as much relevant content to this thread as I would have liked to, I can relate and couldn't agree more Kevin. It just seems extremely silly that we are still at a "testing" and "researching" stage when it has been successfully used medically for years now. We know more about the chemical makeup of the drug than we ever have before and understand how it reacts in just about all cases. It's just a matter of properly presenting the findings at this point, IMHO.

It will, however, be seen as a bad drug for a long time no matter the legality status of it. There will always be people who don't truly understand it and just see the negatives, such as kids who burn out before the end of high school.

Can't speak for Kevin but I smoked twice before college, that's all. Your insults are getting more and more lame.

And despite my experience, I knew quite a few highly functioning stoners in my engineering curriculum. Two guys in particular partake just about every day, and do very well for themselves.

The problem is this 'medicinal' use in history isn't tested to the same standard as other medications on the market. They have some FDA approved drugs on the market now. But there's a lot of this herbal remedy nonsense that isn't medically useful until researched thoroughly. Maybe the chemical make-up is understood, but that doesn't mean we understand entirely how it reacts with the body, long term use consequences (especially across the variety of preparations), and most importantly what it can help. Otherwise, it borders on naturopathy pseudoscience bullshit. E.g. Take this vitamin and and some basil leaf tea to cure your flu. In mixed blessing fashion, the increasing public concern over opiate use/abuse will drive people to see it in a different light as the lesser of two evils.

Kevin, what is your source for this 'immense harm to your body when used for long term', and what kind of damage? Addiction is a strong concern, and some have tylenol or ibuprofen in them which causes damage for those who consume too many. But aside from addiction, I believe opiates are considered reasonably safe when used correctly. They certainly have side effects, and any doctor worthy of their medical license should be aware of them.

Sounds like you need to move back to Washington.

it's not even that, it's all with the VA. I do know legislation was recently passed to allow medicinal marijuana prescriptions through the VA. The issue is that her insurance (TriCare, which is paid for by the government woo hoo medical retirement!) would not cover medicinal prescriptions in the slightest, and she was actually being ridiculed and berated for even asking about it

I don't insult the ignorant.  I just troll them.  Maybe that's why you don't feel insulted?

No I just generally don't let bigoted, racist southerners get the best of me because they generally have a vast misunderstanding of how the rest of the world works.

Fuck you Timo you half wit little motherfucker.  I spent the first half of my life kicking and spitting on your kind.  I damn sure don't mind spending the second half ripping out your eyes and skullfucking you on a daily basis.  You pussy foot around this forum like you know what you are talking about but your only experience comes from the internet.  I hope your real parents (yes I know you were adopted) gave you up for some fucked up reason and maybe, just maybe there is still hope that you too will get hooked on the marijuana just like they were and die of the aids just like all the other marijuana users out there.

ps-  Call me if you get that boost issue figured out.

Spoken like a true Trump supporter. And for the record it's pretty fucked up announcing my personal life in being adopted. You of all people on this forum know that really bothers me, so thanks for spreading it around so everyone can see. Seriously, go fuck yourself.

PS - I wouldn't have to give you a call about a boost leak if you hadn't sold me a marked up piece of shit hooptie.

Is this the "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit" approach? Simple thoughts from a shallow man?

Now that's rich right there.  The shallowest little pussy in the history of vs has spoken.  Timo and I were playing around hoping to get a response from a little sissy ass bitch and we were not disappointed.  ;)  Thanks for the laugh little man.

To reiterate just in case anyone else might have the low mental capacity of Mr Daley (doubtful I know).  Timo and I were JOKING.  It was a JOKE.  Not quite sure how that wasn't obvious to ALL but Timo still loves me and I still love him in ways that you could only imagine.
