Burn-E
We've already had this debate. Clinton is FAR more qualified to lead this country than Trump is. End of story. What Kevin sees as lack of focus is Trumps SOP. He lives the authentically erratic life. I don't think that personality should have access to the big red button. The "grow up" comment was directed at Timo and primarily Kevin. You interjected in the middle of what I was writing before I posted so it would seem pointed at you when it wasn't originally. Sort that out as you may. While the Johnson choice seems attractive it's an ignorant decision as anyone who was old enough to vote in 1992 will explain to you. Why did Bill Clinton defeat GHW Bush? Thank Ross Perot. If anyone thinks that choosing Johnson is going to achieve some great moral victory they're deluding themselves - just like Sanders' supporters - and only increasing the probability that Trump will win. That cannot happen. Life is full of Faustian decisions. This is one of them.
Yellow95
Doesn't really matter. The fix is in. Trump will get more votes but Hillary will be the next president and the pussification of America that Obama started will continue. There are too many politicians padding their wallet with lobbyist money etc that will lose too much if Trump is elected. No way they let that happen. The good that will come out of it is the wake up call. Americans will finally start to see what is going on. The distrust for Washington will intensify it will either tear this country apart or find a way to begin changing it. Either way Trump will have done more for the US then the Obama (piece of shit) and that lying cunt Hillary. 10 minutes ago, Burn-E said: Sort that out as you may. Burn-E
No, like I said, it wasn't directed at you. But I already know you'll take offense so I'm explaining and then dropping it.

Voting for who YOU think should be president isn't really up for debate, and I as an american citizen can vote for whomever I choose to. That being said, if Trump does somehow become president we will step back 20 years. Gays and lesbians will lose rights, the religious right will become empowered with their "religious liberty" (read DISCRIMINATION), and a very conservative Justice will be appointed which isn't good for things like legalization of medicinal marijuana for veterans, LGBT rights, etc.

Those three things fall into the same "bullshit" category as what you listed.
Fudge_Brownie
3 hours ago, Kevin. said: Alain, my issue with the "verdict", if you will, is that the FBI director James Comey said the following "To be clear, this is not to suggest that in similar circumstances, a person who engaged in this activity would face no consequences. To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions. But that is not what we are deciding now." How is his logic sound at all? He openly admitted that if it had been anyone other than Clinton they would have faced charges. He basically said that most people get fired from their job, demotion, or note on their record etc. Security or administrative sanction is not the same thing as 'anyone [else] would have faced charges'. Comparing punishment is not apples to apples either. A guy who just takes a brief case of classified material home because he feels like it is not the same as someone who is making at least some attempt to exist within the rules. She definitely pushed the limits, and probably crossed them. But isn't that like a guy who's just growing medical weed legally, but exceeds some limitation on plant count by 3%, verses someone who just buys drugs illegally? I guess the key phrase is 'gross negligence'. I get that people might argue Hillary was grossly negligent, but can you see that there's a level of scaling? He called Mexicans thugs. He reposts things he found on white supremacy sites. If the shoe fits....

No, what I said was you were actively choosing in a manner counterproductive to the outcome you most want to avoid. There's a big difference.
