volvoskiah
The time has come for me to put my Olive (Emerald Green) 2000 V70R up for sale. It currently has 157k miles on it. I purchased this car from a member of the forums in June as my $6000+ engine build on my s70 had a mechanical failure 35 miles after the engine was installed . I purchased this with the hopes of putting my winter beater (98 V70 AWD with 270K) away for the summer and driving something nicer for the summer. As everyone knows, 2000Rs need some maintenance from to time and this one seemed to have saved a fair amount for me! Don't get me wrong, this car was extremely well maintained by the first two owners ( I am the 3rd) I have all the records to prove it. The following is the list of things I did immediately on the car:-Replaced front cam seal (VOLVO OEM)-Replaced timing belt, due to oil soaked from leaky cam seal (VOLVO OEM)-Replaced etm, (VOLVO YELLOW LABEL)-Replaced battery with newer working oneAfter stopping the aggressive oil leak that came with the car from the cam seal the car was good to go for a little while. The snow tires that came with the car were getting pretty bald after a few thousand miles so I went ahead and bought a nice set of new tires. The angle gear also seemed to be leaking quite a bit so a friend had a low mileage unit that I decided to throw in along with a few other things:- 4 205/55/R16 Hankook Ventus V12 plus wheel mount/balance/4 wheel alignment-Volvo angle gear (15k mile unit)-DS inner tie rod (VOLVO OEM)-Transmission flush (Toyota Fluid)-Coolant level sensor-Added Cross Country roof rails-Repainted front bumper (old paint was in tough shape)-Replaced SC-901 with a working unit-Added Dolby Surround system (Center Speaker Dash, Dolby processor)-XC Front Grill with "R" emblemThe car came with a brand new Volvo drive shaft and also newer viscous coupler so the AWD system is in tip top shape right now. The car also came with newer spring/strut units up front which was a nice perk. The braking system on the car was always great with the 302mm rotors up front and vented rears but there was some slight vibration from the front so I went ahead and had a few more things replaced:-ATE front rotors-ATE front pads with proper shims-ATE Type 200 brake fluid flush-Spark Plugs (VOLVO OEM)-Fuel Filter (BOSCH)-Air Filter-Cabin Air Filter-Replaced coolant tank with a non-leaking unit-Replaced all dash bulbs that were out (can't stand not having switch lights!)-Added Cross Country rear rubber bumper protector (Yes, this is an OEM Volvo part!)Now those are all the things I have done to the car but like I mentioned earlier, there is a ton of maintenance records that come with the car. The car does come with some nice "bonuses" that the previous owner added to the car. They are as follows:-OEM Volvo Painted roof spoiler-Window Tints (unsure of what % but I have the receipt somewhere)-Ecode headlight lenses-Euro clear corners-EST dual AWD cat back-Custom 3" down pipe with aftermarket catalytic converter-IPD Stage 1 tune The car is in great shape for a 13 year old car with almost 160k miles but as with any car, it is not perfect. The paint on the car is not 100% perfect all around as can be seen in the pictures below. The rear bumper was repainted before I got the car and now the front bumper has been repainted. The hood isn't the best, there are some imperfections on it but it never phased me. There are a few other small problem areas that are also pictured below. I have sourced new green passenger doors too and will be putting those on. The car is by no means perfect but for it's age and mileage, I think it mechanically is about as good as it gets and appearance wise pretty darn good. I always get compliments on it everywhere I go, I love this car but it's time to pull the winter beater back out and start putting money back towards the S70. Let me know if you have any questions, I would love to answer them. And for the asking price, I am asking for $5900. Thank you for your time!Pictures (My apologies for the IPhone pics, its the best i could do!) : Thanks for looking!
