Nah, I was thinking like a head gasket that goes between the head and block. (...your link is not pointing to where you thought. )Getting more info. looks like the 04-07 R's had metal HG's and that you need to modify the head to accommodate but it will work. Volvo5.0 Posted October 17, 2013 Report Share Posted October 17, 2013 The block also should be decked to make sure it is absolutely flat when using a MLS head gasket. My motor has the steel head gasket, but on my son's build we used a standard gasket since the machine shop did everything I asked EXCEPT deck the block.
