boxpin
I blew out both the front and rear exhaust cam seals recently lol, but I didn't notice I had my boost controller set at 27psi lol A tall tail sign, dont ignore it. that is very strange, did you check ring gap originally? too tight would explain them all breaking under pressure i would assume edit: after some more reading that has to be what caused it. I was all ready to set the end gap but when I put the rings in the bore they spec'ed out within tolerance. They were right at the widest allowed gap (which I cant remember what that was right now). Since it is best to have a wider gap for turbo engines I thought it would be just fine and it wasnt like I had an option to change anything, they were what they were. fwdGTP
A tall tail sign, dont ignore it. I just did a major overhaul on the PVC system yesterday so hopefully all is well. Compression is 135 132 135 110(argh) 135 with basically cold engine. So we'll see how that goes. Car has always had a lot of blowby though. Martijn_B
Tuning these cars requires an open mindset and being able to reflect quickly and accept mistakes to learn from them. I can know.. Good to see you are acknowledging where it went wrong, good luck putting in the Wiseco's. Are you going to make any differences to the tune after Wiseco?
