scandisk
1. When underway, there's an occasional, intermittent rattle coming from the center front area of the dashboard. The slightest pressure with a free hand stops/eliminates it. Any ideas how to address a fix? (ignoring/living with it is not my preferred option) 2. While under load, the tachometer intermittently (& inexplicably) drops approximately 200 RPM's momentarily, then resumes normal operation. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks in advance. laird
The dash assembly is held in place by 4 bolts accessed under the wiper cover. It's possible that those bolts are loose, more likely that Volvo's idiotic design has reared it's ugly head. The dash has four "stancions" that are plastic with a metal nut in them. These stancions are very prone to cracking and ultimately braking off. Use caution when tightening and good luck.
