Piston Slapper
Flappy paddles have their place... connected to a doppelkupplungsgetriebe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrlzIuwpg3A
matt1122
I had no desire to use the flappy paddles in the models I've driven when them so far. The 2014 model year cars have much better transmission programming. But, yeah, totally... who wants a straight six. Pshhhhhhhh. Oh sorry, that's the awesome sound the turbo makes, not the one the straight six makes. That's more of a HOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Trying to decide if I like Rebel Blue enough to drive it for a decade or so.

zpd
Looks good in white. Too bad it's not going to be offered in MT. It will be fun to test drive though.
blkaplan
That wagon is pretty incredible but over 4000 lbs? What a porker. You could tow a race car with that.

Burn-E
I don't get the passion for Volvo's current design language as expressed in the S60. It looks like a Camry at a masquerade ball. A big flowing lump. Compare it to the other mid level European sport editions sedans (S4, M3, CL45 AMG) and all of them show far greater aggressive styling that matches the power. burnout8488
Glad it's not available in MT. This car is essentially a GT car for fast, quiet, comfortable cruising. Wouldn't get the MT even if it was available - it ruins the luxury aspect of the car IMO. If there was a more track oriented version, kind of like the M3 CSL, it would make sense, but this thing is meant to be a stealth rocket, and an MT would take away from some of the refinement. Save the MT for the T5 version - that's where the greatest sales would come from anyway. (Hence why most manufacturers only offer an MT on the base models, it's smart marketing, even if they do piss off a small group of enthusiasts)

It is far more "lump" than the Volvo. M3 looks good, but they are everywhere. AMG front is ok, but the rear is not good at all. Of the 4, I prefer the look of the Volvo. mcmphoto
I was at the LA auto show and spoke with all the Volvo reps there and they said you can get the V60 in a manual in Europe or do a OSD to get it. Can someone confirm this...
sjmcarz
Sorry, cannot get a manual with OSD to bring back to the U.S. I've had customers ask about this before but no go. Some color and equipment options are the extent of customization for OSD.

RedFire
I think they look great! Especially the V60 because sportswagon. Can't wait to drive one of these when the dealer I work for gets one! I'm already super excited!
