TIZIO AKA 1 HND MEC
I get the idea of having all the commodities while you driving most of them toward safety/quality, what about the freedom to choose ?" What would you like Sir. AT or MT ?" Driving a MT car not only is more Fun is also more safe ( you are more focus ). AT do all the job so I can fix my make-up(sorry ladies), play with my Iplay, check my mail etc.etc. I agree with Zappo about other brands (MBZ is sooo ugly). matt1122
I don't get the passion for Volvo's current design language as expressed in the S60. It looks like a Camry at a masquerade ball. A big flowing lump. Compare it to the other mid level European sport editions sedans (S4, M3, CL45 AMG) and all of them show far greater aggressive styling that matches the power. The RS5 was positioned near the 2014 S60 at the NY Auto Show. It looked drab in comparison. However, if you were talking about the pre-facelift S60, I would say the excessively rounded front bumper and cluttered front end made it look far less attractive. The P2 R's looked similarly boring prior to the facelift and sport styling kit launch in my opinion. Now, as for the M3 and CLA AMG - that's a different class of car. Mercedes and BMW owners tend to want people to notice their cars. I prefer Volvo's Scandinavian styling or Audi's quiet statement for a daily driver. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm also not the only one who doesn't love the CLA all the time. Sometimes I think it's a tad bit ugly. Then there's the new E Class, which is just flat out ugly in front. Johann
OK, a bit late but maybe better than never.. Late December Volvo NL posted pictures of the Polestar S and V60 on their Facebook site. Thing was that the pics were taken in the Netherlands at the Dutch Volvo HQ. Pictures were posted late Thursday evening. The next morning I received a phone call from the local dealer informing me about the cars. The dealer told me that the cars would only be at Volvo HQ for the remainder of the day and if I wanted to see the cars he could make an appointment. Being curious I decided to make the 100 mile drive. (Took the S60R btw.. ) A couple of hours later I was standing in front of an S60 and a V60 Polestar. The cars were nice but so are the S and V R-Designs. The details are nicer I think but minimalistic. The front splitters look OK from a distance. Up close more like a cheap aftermarket item yet we all know these parts do not come cheap.., Rear is nice. Not as "busy" as RD. The spoilers are nice but of questionable quality.. Let's hope this is pre production, Steering wheel is nice, Seats are great, Pedals far from that.. Under the hood there isn't much different from a normal T6 except for a Polestar badge and maybe the CF brace, Don't know if it is on the RD also. After the introduction of the car I thought I noticed something weird about the car and had doubt about the stance of the car. Posted my concern over at Swedespeed also but seeing the cars in real explained a lot. Turned out one of the cars was on 265/35-20 Pilot Supersport tires, While the other was on 245/35-20 Pirelli tires, No signs of Ohlins or adjustability btw. It is going to be a very expensive Volvo though..
