Brad850
I want to test Kevin's 98 v70R tune in my car for a few reasons. I have a 96... A/c is gone/no sas/abs speed sensor etc.. Will disconnect my climate control if necessary. Temporary cel is no problem. Will this work correctly timing/boost wise? Will I be able to push the car without worrying about bending rods? I have an 18t/mods are in my sig. Thanks.
woah4
I don't think you have a risk of hurting anything besides the ac, but you probably won't feel the full effect of the tune as with it detecting the missing SAS etc. and triggering a CEL it will be pulling timing from its regular programming, so while you may see the boost targets you expect i doubt it will actually feel very fast... I may be wrong but that is my understanding of it and my experience also from using ecus from different years in my cars, someone correct me if I am wrong. Cheers, Billy
Brad850
That's exactly what I was worried about. Hopefully someone else can chime in and say otherwise. Thanks
Simply Volvo
Shouldnt be an issue... Just dont turn on your AC and all will be fine. Youll just get a SAS CEL, and that shouldnt mess with anything.
